Please,
in which year and mounth Commando ends to mount the early rear hub not cush drive?.
I remember to have read here in june 1971.
Thank you.
Piero

According to the factory manual, 1971 models had the cush drive hub. It is also mentioned in the 1971 brochure, therefore the change must have occurred some months prior to June 1971.

My March 1971 Fastback has a cush drive rear wheel and it must have been there some time as the front and rear rim, spoke and hub 'patina is exactly the same.
Maybe they were short on parts that day and my 71 was one place in front of yours on the assembly line.

Your rear wheel (and hub) may have been changed in the last 40 years unless you have owned the bike since new.
