Today I got from the painter all the parts of my Commando 750 Dunstallizzer.
Is a hot spray painting, but not powercoating, the tank and side covers are finished with a double coat of clear covering the decals.
Will mount a standard engine with a Combat head and carburettors Amal 932.
The brake system is with three calipers and master cylinders Lockheed AP Racing.
The Borrani wheels with rims 185/19/40 and stainless steel spokes, have the hubs and discs of Triumph.
The two sliders in the part where they mount the calipers, are hand made.
Esternal parts is missing only the fairing which I'm building (I have the standard body and two headlight rings) and the two mufflers.
I have yet to buy various pieces (silent block, isolastick, gaskets, bearings, etc) for about 750 P.
However the start of the beginning of the assembly  is slated for next spring ....... maybe.
Even this Commando will be a "total black".
Now lies on a king size bed and will sleeps a long!

Ciao.
Piero

Very very nice. Pierodn....from one "Black Dunstall-ized" owner to another...she's a beauty. Sorry I couldn't hook you up with the fairing mount...don't know what happened to it. Question: Where did you find such a beautiful original Dunstall tank.

Please send me a PM if you want any advise on how to "Caswell" the tank if you have to run Ethanol fuel. I've been lucky for over 5 years so far...there's a detailed process to getting it right without leaks or "weeping".

Have you lined that fiberglass tank ?

In Italy, and throughout continental Europe, using unleaded green gasoline without ethanol.
This Is a petrol does not corrode and is also difficult to ignite!
Therefore we can use fiberglass tanks without any problem.

Hi,
as i said before, in Italy, and throughout continental Europe, using unleaded green gasoline without ethanol.

I bougt this tank from a ebay England seller last year.
It was gray metalflacke like new, perfect!!!
I know, I shouldn't have to change the color and keep the original colour but the temptation for total black has been stronger!
I am looking for the fairing front mount but I would settle for knowing the size since it's very easy to rebuild.
Ciao.

I have a feeling that E10 will be mandatory in the EU from 2020.

Danger is also that the refiners add ethanol without specifying it, easy to happen if there is a price spike in petroleum stock?

Everything can happen but I don't think!
Please note that in Europe the cars have all the plastic tank!
And you know that weight reduction in vehicles is crucial.

Plastic is not fiberglass.....the right type of plastic will work with ethanol, the wrong type won't, I would guess that all European cars made in the last 10 years have the right type of plastic, it's a pity that some Mot guzzis did not.

I have a fastback and the fibre glass tank has rotted, I would not buy a bike with a fiberglass tank, that has not been sealed.

" And you know that weight reduction in vehicles is crucial. "

you mean the PINTO . :D :P

intresting to see on the Canadian dealer video of the 961 , that the Fuel Tank is PLASTIC . :|

Where can I buy a front mount Dunstall fairing bracket?
Ever seen for sale!.
Could someone please post a photo with the size so that I can build it?.
Thank you.
Piero

I need to build an hand made Dunstall fairing bracket mount; nobody supply it.
I would to know if the body fairing, those with Dunstall logo that fits it on the bracket with two bolts, goes up, down or same plane to the upper triple tree?.
Ciao
Piero
