Ta daaaa…
My first build. Done and ready for spring. Super happy with the way it came out. One year since I started. More money than I’ll ever confess to and what I consider an “irresponsible” amount of time spent on it. The patrons on this forum were invaluable, the next best thing to having someone with experience in my garage. After hanging around this forum for the past year I’m really impressed with the patience of the veterans. All the noobies ask the same old questions over and over again and you all keep helping us in between your more technical posts.
I’d like to give a shout-out to a few members that came to my aid …

Jim Schmidt -for various technical help all along the way. How do you find the time?

Hobot- for helping me solve the rear wheel wild goose chase the PO left me with. And general encouragement. I can actually understand your posts now and have come to the conclusion “you use yer tong perdier than a $20 hore” –the late Slim Pickens.

Beng and texasSlick - for their electrical advice.

Mike996 – choke advice and the lack of it’s necessity.

Biscuit- helped me understand the exhaust nut assembly. Why was that hard?

Powereng03- for selling me his uncles steel tank at a fair price. Fixed up real nice.

Rvich, B+Bogus and Douglass Harroun – helped me make my case with my painter to get what I asked for. Came out perfect, much prettier than the photo.

And a whole community of good intensions and advice.
Now if I just had some nice weather, my motor needs a few miles before I can ride like I mean it.

looks really nice. e keen to know how comfortable that seat is after a 200mile trip. All the best.

Gosh Roadrash it almost hurt to look at, cool. Brave dude to ride off on on my advice, yikes.

You should be very proud of your handy work, now get out there and ride it, enjoy it.

Very pretty, particularly like the black treatment of the fork yokes and headlamp ears. Well done!

Yeeeah, looks fantastic and a credit to you. I wish we didnt have to do indicators her in Oz.. Makes most bikes cleaner looking without IMO!.. I also like the horn position..

That is one damn fine lookin' Norton! I am going to save this pic for inspiration for my own restoration project.
[Please DO NOT post a pic of your parts / mechanics invoices]

That shure is purdy! It seems the voters for" most improved"dont care for the Corbin/CNW look, just say`in.

Thanks for the praise Gents.
Today was sunny and 54 degrease F. I got to take her out for a spin and the motor starts and run's great. Oh what fun!
I do have a short in my brake light to track down. Pops the fuse when I engage the front brake, but not the back. I'll get it figured out for the season.
I knew the seat would get some comments. I am absolutely guilty of imitating the CNW look. Heck, it's their mudguard. I'll let the next owner do whatever he wants.
