I do have a short in my brake light to track down. Pops the fuse when I engage the front brake, but not the back. I'll get it figured out for the season.

I'm sure once you get that taken care of it will be clear sailing from now on.

Great bike, great color.

LOL Boy Howdy we all say that to ourselves before saddling up but for sure the great color shouldn't need much sail boat level attention.

Did you do your own polishing of the aluminum bits or was it farmed out?

I did all my own polishing. Thanks for asking cause that and cleaning parts was a huge part of the man-hours of this project. The only chemical I could find to clean the baked/dried crud off everything was carburetor cleaner. So I bought 2 gallons of the nasty stuff and soaked every part in it as I disassembled the bike. Then 250 through 1000 grit sand paper, then the three polishing compounds on three different wheels. Polishing, I found, is a bit addictive. I also polished internal parts like con rods, lower fork bushings and brake shoe studs. Now I’m looking for nuts and bolts that can be replaced with SS. SS polishes up like chrome and keeps it’s luster.

I sort of trance out polishing with deeper tracne the shiny'r its gets so sometimes have the part go flying to start back with the file and sand paper stage...

Great build, I hope mine turns out as nice, so far it's look'n that way :D Now ride it like you stole it

Wonderful, stylin motorcycle...the seat will become very comfortable for you with time and makes your bike look way cool. Congratulations on job well done
