Dominator baffles

I think baffles may effect fueling. If it were mine I’d go for a straight through perforated tube with lagging packing around it. It’ll still be plenty throaty enough, but it’ll take that ‘painful’ edge off the racket.

I do seem to be in a minority here I know... but at the risk of eliciting death threats and voodoo curses... IMHO the open megas sound dreadful...!

(However, they do mask the primary / clutch ‘cement mixer full of scrap metal’ noises)!

Member iwilson has done it . He has a Dominator with the open racing megaphones and did a conversion to baffles . After thinking about it again , iwilson had an entirely new exhaust system made with baffling in the megaphones.

Sounds like Rob is the man to speak to about baffle / insert design.

Check out the Stevenage clip, he’s got some kind of inserts in there which take the sting out of the megas very effectively.

Compare it to the Ace Cafe instagram link where he’s on open megas, the difference is quite pronounced.

Too bad he didn't start it. I'd have like to have heard that bike.

Sarcasm!
I get it.......
No. I've only seen two clips. One of the bike pulling away from the curb, no baffles, and another with just a verbal review not running. I must be missing something. Oh....I think that bike does have baffles. It's not really that loud.

Felt any sharp pin type pains over the last few days? Its not contempt it's pity I feel for you Flat Eddie....

Well yes actually... pins and needles in my hands... I had been blaming the clip ons, but now you got me wonderin’...!

That Domi on the Instagram video sounds like it should be sitting on the starting grid at Daytona.
Load n' nasty.

Personally I think the megaphones sound great on video. In real life they're excessively loud and sound like they need repairing. Having personally experienced both the baffled and unbaffled versions in the flesh - I prefer the baffled version. But each to their own!

Here's a vid I shot of the megaphones - sound great but in real life ear protection required and it sounded like there was a hole in pipe - other than the one at the end. :) Also filmed inside a garage so more reverb of the walls.

Here's a little clip on a trackday with the baffled megaphones - you need to be there to appreciate the soundtrack! Still loud but without the harshness and tininess of the unbaffled version.
