What is your take on digital currency?

I didn't even like it when my company went to direct deposit but I suppose all currency has to be taken on faith. The US feds are doing all they can to make cold hard cash not worth the paper its printed on as it is now. I hear ads about investing in precious metals but again, like our Nortons, it's only worth what someone is willing to give for it. I'm starting to think the only precious metals worth having are lead, brass, and steel."Central Bank Digital Currency"
Simply put...imo has the potential to be switched off like a light and could very well be used and abused as a control mechanism.
The W.E.F are pushing hard for a full global implementation of CBDC and the financial carnage we are experiencing is triggering a transition based on the current news articles.
My sister recently converted all her retirement savings over to bullion.I didn't even like it when my company went to direct deposit but I suppose all currency has to be taken on faith. The FTX Crypto money laundering operation that has recently hit the headlines should put anyone off the implementation of Central Bank Digital Currency... to think U.S tax payers money that was sent to Ukraine was then sent back to support political campaigns and other candidates/ doners......Is it a coincidence this Sam joker was arrested in the Bahamas the day before he was to answer to a congressional investigative body....I think not... that exposure would make the American tax payers blood boilIts a tax dodge.
Extremely volatile.
Who oversees/regulates the management of so called crypto funds and their deceptively titled securities?
Ask any Crypto fund if they intermingle customer cash and so called "secured" investments. There should be only one answer.
Not secured nor regulated by the SEC (nor anyone else) at least, in the US.
What do you buy? What do you own? How does your so-called "investment" grow??
Its only worth a #hit if someone is willing to pay you more for your holdings than you paid to get in...good luck with that.
The securities exchange commission was formed for a reason...to protect customers and investors. Although at times they have failed miserably...see Madoff as just one example.
Ask who is overseeing the regulation/discipline within said crypto company...the CEO? And you trust this guy completely with your hard earned cash?
I remember a company called Enron and federal oversight was supposed to be in place.
You get hose for big/suspicious losses in Crypto where do you turn?
Pyramid scheme, up and down.
Oh there was much purpose to the timing of his arrest and incarceration. Unique timing that arrest and looming extradition happened the day before he was scheduled to appear before the senate (do - nothing) finance committee. That committee is the usual political clap and thunder with nothing coming to fruition...except maybe Waters wig will fall off at some point. She was off her rocker pissed about the timing of his arrest, undermined her "I am important" posturing. The STX Crypto money laundering operation that has recently hit the headlines should put anyone off the implementation of Central Bank Digital Currency... to think U.S tax payers money that was sent to Ukraine was then sent back to support political campaigns and other candidates/ doners......Is it a coincidence this Sam joker was arrested in the Bahamas the day before he was to answer to a congressional investigative body....I think not... that exposure would make the American tax payers blood boil
FTX founder charged in scheme to defraud crypto investors
The U.S. government charged Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, with a host of financial crimes on Tuesday.apnews.com
I was thinking Central Bank Digital Currency when I originated this thread.
As for crypto currency.... I am with Robs ss ..... avoid like the plague, and grandpaul
..... run like hell.
As for CBDC, I am gratified to see that many on this Forum are astute enough to see it for what it is ....a goverment scam to control the people, and print, or create, money at will with no sound basis, and possibly abuse the people. No one as yet, has mentioned the complete loss of privacy that would ensue ... the govt would know how and where you spend your money, which would tell them your political affiliation, your ideology, ( conservative or liberal) your hobbies and interests,
I am amazed that certain foreigners, e.g. kiwishane, have a better understanding of the US body politic than most Americans. This is gratifying and gives me hope that CBDC will not become fact.
Keep your thoughts and opinions coming.

Its exactly what it is to crush the working man and small business.USA went off gold in 1933. Then off silver in 1964-5. No basis in metal of the money system and since then the politicians have willingly gone into debt that will never be settled. Ever. Now they have, or soon will, effectively removed cash. Holding gold will also become pointless because you have to buy and sell at some point and the government will nail you then. If you cannot exchange it, what good is it?
It is a never ending spiral of increasing control over every person on earth. However, the less you have the less it matters. It all looks to me like just a plan to remove the middle class.

Control all of those and you have the WEF agenda. Oops, I forgot to include firearms, without control of those, the WEF might lose control of everything.
