RGM sells two gear change rubbers for the Commando, 040086 & 040086C
I have emailed them asking the difference but have no response.
Does anyone here know the difference?

They don't show a photo of the former but (strangely) below is a photo of the "C"
Cheers

Unknown what the "C" indicates but last time I ordered a set of footrest/kicker & shifter rubbers from RGM, they were notably harder than a previous order from unknown original source (footrests wore down with weeks of using). The RGM set have lasted two or thee seasons now but do need replacing soon (this is on a bike which I regularly put 3-5k miles per season).

Well, I spoke to Roger (RGM) - he advised me the "C" denotes older (read harder) stock. So, same deal for the kickstart rubbers - including his RGM short ones, which I use..
I bought a few of each in "C" - maybe more durable?

Anyway, had a nice chat and from that (he's okayed me to say this):
1. He's struggling to get trained staff (been like that since the pandemic) so be patient.
2. Don't bother emailing him as he doesn't have the time to answer (his box is full too - so you'll probably get a "can't deliver")
3. He'd prefer people ordered online - limited time for phone.

Having said that, Royal Mail advised me the items I ordered have left the UK only 2 days after my order.
Price is better that buying anywhere in Oz too (including shipping).

Cheers

I haven't brought parts for my Norton for a long time now (it's too reliable lol) but buying from RGM I have never had any problems with ordering or shipping even by snail mail within 10 days to my front door too Aus with rubbers I buy by 3 lots as they do wear out but over a long time still have 2 lots of rubbers for everything, foot pegs, gear and KS rubbers, but my KS rubber is starting to tear after about 5 years of kicking.
Snail mail is cheap if you are not in a hurry, but 10 days is not too bad from the other side of the world to my front door.
Parts from Joe Hunt in the states take about 14 days by snail mail.

Correction...SnailMail is no longer cheap....From UK to Canada can run higher than couriers in some cases for unknown reasons.

I just had parts for my train layout sent from the UK through normal mail, they didn't even charge me for postage to Aus and was at my front door in 5 days, mine you they were only 2 small decoders for the DCC engines in fact I brought a few things through UK Amazon for the layout with quick delivery through international postage to Aus.
