I did alot of street racing back in the day, guess I abused the poor thing, but back then it seemed indestructible! My friends Harleys and Triumphs kept breaking down, things vibrating loose, but my Norton was the scoot that made all the long trips, reliable, got the parts for the ones who broke down, and was the fastest of the bunch. Until somebody bought a Kawasaki 900. It was faster, but since it was Japanese, it wasn't cool.
I wish I had taken more picks tearing it down, I won't make that mistake again.
The clutch nut was finger tight I remember, even though the tabs were in place.
I didn't carry alot of fat girls. Some were big.
I was meticulous about changing and checking fluids.
The last years involved tons of city driving in Las Vegas.... very, very hot.
Maybe it was soft, here's the outside:
I won't blame the big girls, one in particular got me out of a ticket because of her tube top.
