CNW Clutch Center

Mike, with no circlip to worry about taking the torque, I assume the clutch nut can be tightened ‘quite tight’?

I don’t recall receiving, and can’t find any such info on that, what torque do you use on the clutch nut?

What am I missing here? Do you not still use a circlip with these centers? Or are they machined so that the center has a stop for the end of the splined shaft, as on some pre-Commando models?

I used a circlip on mine along with the spacer. There was nothing that came with it saying otherwise and it works fine.
40# with blue locktite.

Just to clarify gents, my question was directed at Mike Brooking, who’s running a TTI box. I am under the impression that the TTI box doesn’t use the circlip on the mainshaft....

All good Dave, just wondered why there was a few questions re centres when it was all in the text.
Good luck with your current project.
Regards mike

Always looking for clarifications. Some people, ahem, are extremely frugal with their text. I ask the questions it's because there is a long line of people too afraid to ask.
