All these years of owning commandos, all the rebuilds etc and I wasn't aware that the commando motor uses the Desaxe principle. I'd assumed the head had been moved slightly forward not the cylinders moved to the rear by 0.093".

Is this why commando motors are ba****d to turn over and give oodles of torque?
