Nice video.
It reminds me, is there any better ride than a good Norton Commando?
I sometimes think there is, then back on the Commando to relearn the same old lesson.

There are cheaper rides. There are more reliable rides. There are faster rides, with better brakes. But, having ridden since I was 17 and ridden hundreds of different bikes, my Commando still puts a smile on my face when I ride it. Even when it stalls for no apparent reason in traffic on the way to work this morning, after a nice strong run in.

MikeT (on his Comet) riding to the show with some friends.

I don't notice the camera when it's on the side of the helmet but I really can feel the drag if it's on top.

MikeT has a chest mount and it gives a smooth shot and good angle.

This video has a variety of angles. I have a handlebar mount, helmet mount and a suction mount.

You guys will get booked riding on the wrong side of the road like that, not to mention just how dangerous it is .

Just like the gear shift....you either ride on the right side of the road or the wrong side :)

A quick blast thru town and then heading for the countryside. (For obvious reasons.) No music, this time, just engine noise.

Yeah you bet. But i'll tell my seat on the 850 is crap, collapsed foam. Im looking into fixing that soon, but short rides with more stops would be great. Ill PM cell #[/quote]

lots of stops are good.

Short nice ride is Auburn to Colfax 174 to Grass Valley and back roads back to Auburn

Auburn is a good meeting start point

Yeah that's a nice loop. Sounds great
I might get an opportunity to put one of my Japanese bikes in the International Show at Cal-Expo this weekend, so sometime next week or so might work.

This is my first try at posting a video, so I hope it works. I'm using photobucket, because that's what I'm used to for posting pictures.

This is a short clip from a gopro on the front of the MK3 my grandson and I built together. This is from a ride we took today to meet up with some people from the Southern California Norton Owners Club in Ojai. The best part was meeting and talking with Jerry Doe. My grandson's the one riding it in this video. I also ride it occasionally, but usually a bit slower than he does. The location is Grimes Canyon in Southern California (Ventura County), and is a road we ride a lot. I didn't do any editing, except to trim out most of the footage to leave the best part. There's a lot of wind noise, so if anyone knows how to reduce that, I'd be happy to learn. With so many gopros around, there must be lots of on-line advice on editing and posting. I'll see what I can do to put a little better quality video up in the future.

This is another clip from the same ride. This one is the twisty part of Denison Grade on California hwy 150, between Santa Paula and Ojai, and ends at Bocalli's restaurant. This is part of a route my friends and I ride a couple times a month.

The view is again from my grandson on the MK3. The rider in front of him is our friend Rob on a Yamaha R1. The guy in front of him in the first part of the video is our friend Eric, on an old Honda CB350 that he dropped a 250 Ninja engine into. It essentially has no brakes and no suspension, but he is still hard catch on twisty roads. On the straights, it's a bit challenged, to say the least. There is a brief view on Eric on the bike at the end of the video, as we are pulling into the parking area. Both Eric and Rob are also AHRMA vintage racers, and like to ride at a pretty good pace.
