Dangerous tyres ?

On a bike new to me, I change the tyres, tubes and rim tape if the tyres are >5 years old. When I've done the swap, I've found new tyres are always more pliable than the old ones I've taken off. After that, there's something wrong if I'm not changing them due to wear. :)

Due to the potential Avon shortage I have 2 fronts and 2 rears in black garbage bags stored in the (relative) cool and dark downstairs.
I like Avon RRs
There was some good info in that video. I've fact checked the manufacturers claims - seems to be true.

I recently replaced the tyres on my 750 because they had started to crack on the sides, I did all the research on tyre life and it seems its wholly dependent on how the tyres are stored and used. But even in ideal conditions, 35 years was a bit too much.

Had they not been cracked, I would have left them on for the first few low speed laps of my neighbourhood as I got the bike going after 31 years of storage, there was still plenty of tread left 😂

Yep - even the tightest arse in the world might agree that 35 years is stretching the relationship!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was a great product 20 years ago. Now they are "your father's Oldsmobile". Pretty bland..
Beer has a much shorter shelf life than tires. There is a reason they don't let the public know the bottling date.
Fresh beer/tires are best.

Indonesia ( to our Aussie friendlies ) has skunky Bintang beers a little too often .

There is a vintage motorbike club British based out of Java that do a tour every month , usually into Bali by Ferry . Tires cheap as they make them for us . Like $ 30 .
