Damper tube threads

Does anyone know the thread size of the top threads on the damper tube of the forks? The part that the damper cap screws on to. I got new damper tubes from rgm, and the threads are almost nonexistent. I'm debating sending them back or having my machinist buddy chase them. Any help would be appreciated!!

Commando are UNF (USA Unified Fine), and Dominator are 26 tpi cycle thread.
And never the twain should be mixed...

BTW, not entirely sure which bit you are referring to.
The threads into the chrome nuts up top of the forks, or the tubes down inside the forks ?

Damper tube not stanchion tube, I will check later today but it looks a fine thread.
