I read somewhere that a sign shop can make custom vinyl stencils..... I haven't decided on whether to paint my rear fender yet, but if I do, I'd like to paint the nvt/made in england sticker onto the fender.

Anyone have experience with this? Do they just scan something into the computer, and send it plotted out to a vinyl cutter? Any idea of cost?
custom stencils?

or maybe an x-acto knife would work if it is more than like $10

I've had a sign maker make stencils of the tank and side cover decals. A crisp black on white graphic can be scanned into their computer and cut in low-tack vinyl. The smaller the image the harder it is to cut accurately and that one is pretty small. That funky arrow will be tough to figure out.

They'll likely charge you a setup fee and it'll cost as much to make 20 as one. I think the Xacto is your best bet.

Pay the setup, have 20 made, sell the rest on e-bay and recoup your cost plus...

ok, finally got the money to do this! Had 3 done to test...3x$5= $15 not bad!

What do you guys think? They couldn't do the line in the arrow because it was too small. Still cool though

Looks good, the 'line' in the arrow could either be airbrushed in after or done free hand if you felt it neccessary.

better shot- straight on
custom stencils?

I'm going to put the other 2 stencils up on ebay if anyone wants them. Gotta make some cash to pay for the parts I ordered this week.
