cool cat assimilator wiring

Has anyone wired one of these up? On my harness at the assimilator connection I have a white with brown stripe wire that goes to the light in the headlight, a green and yellow wire from the alternator and a red, which I'm assuming is ground.
Bike is positive ground.

Ya know most of us can tell when engine is running and would likely miss the orange light in haste to get off and mingle so only replacement that makes any sense to me are the color change LED voltage meters the do come on with key to show current state of battery instead of not yet spinning to charge, duh. Looks as stock as factory till cranking up so nullifies any logic to jump Norton fence trying to mimic another odd quirk in Norton excess electrical complexity.
