Converting JPN back to stock

I actually enjoy "wrenching" on my bikes .....preferably during winter months as I live in Wisconsin. Probably not the best idea to strip a nice looking JPN even if it is just a clone (kind of akin to converting a living room to a garage....some things you just don't do) This may be wishful thinking on my part but there may be a remote chance that the JPN would fit my 6'2" frame in which case I would keep as is

I'm after the headlight mounts in the fairing, so if you do go ahead I'll have them off you, where in the world are you?

By "clone" you mean it wasn't a JPN replica from the Norton factory? What Norton produced could also be considered a "clone". I owned one of the factory produced machines for about two years. As you mention it's not very comfortable.
