CommandoSpecialties Exhaust Quality?

I visited the store, looked over the head pipe and mufflers. Very nice quality. If my bike needed pipes/muffs, I'd buy them in a minute.

It seems if you don't have to talk to them they are ok to deal with. Every time I called it was like I was interrupting something. Just called them a few minutes ago. Same thing.
But I have bought from them on several occasions.

Title says it all. Any good? :?
I bought a set of peashooters from them and am very pleased with them. I have bought several parts fom CS, they have been an excellant vendor!

I got an Big Bore set years ago. Although they may not be the very best, they are still very very good. Any included hardware is also Top Notch.

I think that their pipes are fine for the price. One of my headers was improperly bent and Duane shipped me out a new one, no questions asked. That's my kind of service.

These are the same brand I stock in Australia, and I have fitted quite a few sets, and sold a few as well, and they fit well on a mk 3 , nice lines, peashooter is nice and straight, and they look good.
I am happy to keep stocking and using them.
Price point is very acceptable as well.

I bought a set of headpipes for my 73 Roadster a couple of months ago.Only got a couple of hundred miles on em and so far no complaints.

I can't speak about the pipes, however during the restoration of my Fastback I purchased several items from CS and was pleased by their quality and service.

I think they were Emgo. Not totally sure though.

One reason I bought them was that CS stated they were made in the USA. I try to buy as much as I can of items manufactured in western hemisphere countries (incl Australia/NZ) even if it costs me more. I do wish someone would start to make quality rubber items like foot peg rubbers etc instead of the crap we've had to suffer for the past 15 years or so !

I talked to Duane at CS, today, and he told me the exhaust is made in Taiwan. Said they used to use Emgo, but switched a couple of years ago. That doesn't mean they aren't a quality product, just an FYI...

The Header pipes I got for for my mk 111 from them definately stated made in USA. When I've asked him the country of origin of other items including other exhaust parts he's always told me the truth (at least I think so) I have no reason to doubt these pipes were USA made.

I agree. I have always had excellent service and excellent quality from them. My point was that they used to sell Emgo for some of their exhaust, but no longer do. And, at least one, according to Duane, is made in Taiwan.

Sam, you bought header pipes, and they are indeed USA made. The same ones I sell.

Duane would be referring to the smooth mufflers. The listing for them makes no mention of where they are made. The headers are USA made. He clearly states it on his website.

I recently bought a pair of their smooth-weld silencers and was very happy with the quality and sound.
Taiwan-made stamped on box; I'm still happy. :)
I have purchased many of CS items and have received good stuff shipped fast every time.
