If my memory serves me right, Yamaha hired Norton guy Percy Tait at the time, to iron out the worst of the handling catacteristics of the XS650.

Don't say that to her or the fight is on.... Perhaps " Sis you've gotten even better looking with a few years on you". You want to turn your back on her safely right?

My TX500 handled sooo much better than my friends TX650. Once I had a Norton I just kept quiet ; but oh my the difference was amazing(mmmmmm).

Info on women in your life including weight is way off the discuss list .... this is a need to know only item , I don't ask so can't tell !

Testicle clippers now travel through phones.... even thoughts, so beware of sharp pain ruining a sound sleep.

Speaking of such things many years ago after the birth of our second child , a boy ! .... I needed to get something done to continue my sporting life .... well as some know it not pleasant , had taken a day from work for the quick painless install of a couple of tiny staples ... afterwards straight to Rum store then to a hotel to watch an Ali fight then early next day mowed my lawn and lots of beer ... the following day back to hospital with a very large set .... that was painful ! .... ice was only treatment offered ... watch out Alan !

Multiple friends underwent this simple 'painless' procedure.. hehhh.. Only one had no suffering and went immediately back to work with just minor discomfort. My thoughts are that there must have been little there to cause pain. Everyone else was in pain for days and required a wheelbarrow to move about.

This has to be one of the strangest threads in the history of this forum.

Somewhat back on topic, maybe more of an issue than a younger generation not wanting to own Commandos is whether a younger generation will be running shops that specialize in machining cranks, repairing heads, making custom parts and providing service. The trend where I live is not healthy in this respect. All the old guard is retiring and the shops are disappearing.

jbruney got my clip job 35 years ago never looked back.....no screaming brats for me wife don't like em either hahahha as far as commandos......99% of folks in my neck ob de woods regardless of age don't have a clue what they are in the first and last place

Nice stuff , have similar drawer all used though ..... your post would be a change up in baseball

Thars gold n that thar box.
No kidding on the strange... This thread has me looking at all kinds of stuff I don't need right now. It's even got me to wondering what I did with the Yama 650 I took in trade 30 years ago... just can't recall.. kinda big to just misplace, but guess I did. Did same to couple of pretty girlfriends too... probably better off anyway on all counts.

More wandering.... meandering is a better description for this epic novel.
