In that case.
Which British motorcycle made in the early part of the 1970's came with not only Japanese instruments but a Japanese switch block.
They say the switch blocks are near unobtainable NOS.

Commando prices...

Nice stuff , have similar drawer all used though ..... your post would be a change up in baseball

I guess my point was, the price of a lot of things is based on the worth of its components.
Commando's are not cheap to buy, NOS is little different as the years go by.

Commando prices worldwide are far from low for a well sorted bike, of course a well sorted bike will cost a lot more to build that its end worth in monetary terms and that is why there are so many pigs with lipstick out there so buyer beware.

Well we certainly don't have to worry about lipstick on my dirty girl.. Mechanically fine, but no prom queen by any means. I love pretty bikes though I've never had much use for them.... Too many worries when riding them hard and often...Besides mine like to get on top sometimes.

Yes.

Triumph TR5T Adventurer / Trophy Trail ?

I had forgotten about them and found them while searching for a Commando clutch perch rear (to send to a dude in the UK) so took a pic and put it on my 'Instagram not thinking much of it.... The 'will you sell one messages didn't take long but how much is unobtainium worth ?
I have two 1974 TR5T's and only really need one switch.

My 850 is the same, if it ever goes again.
The paint is from 2005, I touched the frame paint up with VHT Barrel paint because I had some......... Mechanically every part will be gone through along with sensible add on's, preferably ones that you can not see but stopped counting when it passed near half of what a small three bedroom house cost in the 1980's.

I had to put on my very best anorak for that question ;)

Gotta be the best thread ever! I learned so many things, a few of which I didn't need to know.

This is all for fun right ? The bikes and all that ownership of an old Norton entails , I say carry on .... might as well laugh at our follies and wins !

I've had such a moment in the past.... Dazed & confused with a slowly warming beer wondering what comes next.

where that man named hobot? he always had something to say about something stream of consciousness style
I think this thread has become what psychiatrists call free ass-ociation that's ok by me we are getting to know one another and our preferences in bikes, wiimmen, life in general etc as good pals should all we need is a campfire to sit around and a jar of shine

Right gentlemen we are getting back on track; beer to wiimmen to shine.....concentrate, focus, take a slug of beer, think bikes, motorbikes not peddle cycles, miss out Yamahas (sorry Alan) & we are back to prices of Nortons as started by Fast Eddie 20 pages ago.......Go Go Go

I'm giving mine an oil change next week to make it feel all warm and fuzzy in it's gutty works. Then considering going for the front ISO's.... Maybe standard, perhaps Vernier... undecided. Got to keep that value up. Right?

Commando prices...
Vernier for sure ! just spent last 2 days stripping bike shed roof and putting on new shingles ( old to be doing this type of labour , felt it in morning ) , more or less done , still have to cap peak .. . but today new speedo cable came from VintageBritishCables ... so will have to pause roof for tomorrow and hook Speedo up , prolly all day job by time I test it out thoroughly , old bikes can be real time wasters !
