A colorful wordsmith who would appear more comfortable holding his mouse rather than a wrench.

Got to say that bloke fits right in with a high proportion of threads on this forum!

I put the sleeved down master cylinder on my 850 and had the disc ground and lightened. It works fine with two fingers. What is all the chatter about
it being no good? Well like many things on any brit bike they work much better with a moderate amount of fiddling.
As for all the rest, he is full of luke warm air. His writing chops arent impressive for a guy his age.
....besides he forgot to put on his rear front mudguard stay.

Kind of a bunch of rubbish for the most part. Once I scrubbed the Chrome off my front disk and got down to copper and base metal it works pretty darn good. I've not done anything to the MC.

It's no Ducati or even my 77 Guzzi Lemans will stop better, but it's pretty decent. Better than my SOHC Honda's for sure. And almost as good as my new Triumph Twin I'd say.

Funny he never commented about wet sumping. If I had a complaint, that would be the only one. It's never let me down.

I thought it a good and honest article capturing the necessary upgrades along with the glorious sound.
