That fastback chopper makes me smile.
It takes me back to the day when adding 6" over fork tubes made ANY motorcycle "cooler".

Just like a set of shackles to "jack up" the rear of any car automatically made it a hotrod.
Remember the 70's ?

Just more inspiration to blacksheep hobot, though I'd lower the tool poach.

wheres the oil tank? in the leather pouch? or oil in frame conversion!

oh yeah seems oil tank is under the gas tank expanded frame addition for nice tiddy oil plumbing w/o the long garden hoses of some OIFs. Inspirational use of Combat era power unit.

We still don't much see the oil tank ? Great idea to run it into greasy old pouch for airstreamage cooling. Could affect handlings though...tad top heavy.

You'd have to keep the leather straps tight to prevent leaks.........

Please.

There's probably at least a ziploc bag oil bladder in there!

I get choppers, I really do, but sometimes it's just too easy to do 40% too little when modifying a bike

There is psychedelic magic lurking in every isolastic Commando that makes every turn a digital traction fractal paisley

oh man 84ok caught me out on that flash back but that's what Ms Peel deliveed on her extended fork that caused the INOA show official tp make me park her outside the ropes in special section with the semi choppers. Extra fun when learned builders can't figure out some slip shod elegant minimalist solution.

Some bikes speak to you, and Aaron Egging’s 1973 Triumph Bonny had much of the attention from enthusiasts and builders alike. You could tell hours and hours of polishing went into the drivetrain because the chrome gleamed. The 750cc mill was punched out to 800cc. The bike featured a custom frame, ACME Springer, NOS 1960’s Wassell tank & fender, Akront shouldered rims and custom seat. The bike rolled in with a light blue paint and gold stripes applied by Aaron.

Yeap just needs that long spring fork off the coffin tank chopper a 16" fat tire off TC's 850 and plush sissy bar to be a a killer diller foot foward flat tracker. Choppers w/o front brakes can drift slide like flat tracter WOT. They just look so silly to me too i love/hate em like everyone else. Only way I know to satisfy my split brain is make mine change stance like a Latino low rider.

Ok thanx for bringing us back full circle to standard routine minimalist tucked down racing style cafe'd Commandos you must wear a back pack to carry lunch size cargo while getting approving nods form Commando standard bearers.
