Commando Choppers please

Excluding the factory version, Commando Choppers please
anyone got some nice rebellious against the grain righteous isolastic choppers to show ?
Molded frame would be extra icing on the cake to me.
No front brake extra points on style and flippant attitude statement.

I'd direct you to the chopper forum but I either wouldn't be able to live with myself or they would kill me.

lol, that's one of the nicer ones I've seen. I've seen 2 or 3 on ebay that are mediocre, and keep getting re-listed. A few somewhere else, but not many out there...

Hmm, take a bike notable for its handling and....

Never mind.

In the words of Captain America. "No....we blew it."

Yep some attempts make me puke but others make me feel like
king of the road. I well know the general opinion of Nortoneers
on choppers in general and Nortons especially. Chopper aren't
meant to be desirable to general public, just stylish offensive.
Smokey who runs the chopper forum has contributed to both my
bike attitude and a few items and advise on non- chopper Ms Peel.
A friend, is now years along in enggineering a Drouin boosted Norton chopper.

Greetings,
There is one on Ebay right now (as of 7/5/10) with a story to it, I hope the guy is able to sell it for his sake, but it sure as hell won't be me buying it. Now I have seen some "choppers" that are well thought out but most of them...damn, what are people thinking. What gets me most is the foot controls some of these contraptions have, not to mention the sawed off open exhaust systems. I figure I'd ride one if it was given to me, and only then at night with a full face helmet from pick up point to home where it would be hidden till I could strip it down and set it back to stock .

Thanks Jean, those were very satisfying to skew my view of Commando
form and function.

I'm not likely to change my opinion overall but I wouldn't mind seeing a few more pics of that first one in your photo series hobot - WTF front suspension? I am intrigued!

Now here's a well done classic old school Cdo Chopper I could be seen
with in Norton and Vintage rallies or Bikes Blue Babes or BBQ out here.

Regardless of weather its a realistic daily rider or canyon carver,
its still fascinating to see creative or abusive solutions to style
function and statements.

First one has a girder type with spring in front of stem.
Rebel bikes uses this in carbon fiber bulbous slabs to awe us.
In some stances Ms Peel will be tail low nose high with
feet forward rests in between tucked down for drags
or rear lifted for turns. A low rider Commando for Latino's.

$2200!? It's either got some major issues or that is the bargain of the week...!!!

Well who'd want it as is but the rare radical with some cash to spare
and statement to make.
Its the real deal, double taking stance and terrible to turn in close quarters.
If I didn't have more normal needs with commitments to recover a factory
Combat and unclassifiable Ms Peel, it'd sure make me restless at the price.

That thing would be way better without the drop seat frame. It has a nifty board track feel to it.

Can we please leave all this butt ugly Chop-it-up conglomerations of what were once classic british bikes, to the Harley crowd? I am all for creativity but c'mon, the chopper movement is DEAD (Thank GOD!)

Sorry but everyone of them is a butt ugly "look at me pose" 2 wheeled barf bike. Merely my opinion but surely there is a law against chopping a Norton.

But then again, I just found out that I am NOT going to leave this sh**hole of a country when I was supposed to so I am a bit bitter. If anyone on this forum lives in Egypt, well, I hope you love your country because I HATE it.

Wow, awsome.....I'm glad we got your 2 cents.

Well, you're gonna hate my Triumph then. :D

The chopper movement is far from dead. The OCC 240 rear wheeled rolling abortions you see on TV and in American Iron are dead but the classic chopper will never die and I'm glad for it. Chopped skinny bikes forever!

I like and appreciate all types of bikes.
