Does anyone know the original battery size for a 1971-1972 Commando ?
And what would be the best relacement Brand & Serial Number ?

'72 Commando battery

The original battery was a Lucas PUZ5A. Replacement is a
Yuasa 12N9-4B-1. I still have what's left of my '72s Lucas battery...just a souvenir.

Would you know if this is also the correct battery for a 1975 MK-III?

The Yuasa 12N9-4B-1 is a 9 amp hour unit - ok for pre-Mk3 models.
The Mk3 requires a 14 amp hour battery. Stock battery was YB14-L.

Original post was a request for battery for ‘71-‘72 not 850 MkIII from ‘75.
