My wrist was starting to complain about my clutch so I thought i would adjust the stack height, bronse plates,I got an old steel plate ground down untill 0.060'' thick, 0.080'' didn't fit, pull is much improved, but I now have mild slip in top gear,my question is how thin can the plate be made before it starts to distort,I realise that machining down a 750 pressure plate would be a much better idea. Has anbody fitted the ATLAS actuator :?:
ATF in primary and no gear oil on plates, was thinking of getting another 0.010'' ground off the plate but wonder if that will be enough :?:

Personally I wouldn't go less than .060 on any individual plate. I would leave the .060 extra plate in there and substitute a .070 for one of the other plates.

My bike came with an old Dommie box and gears, covers etc except for the mainshaft. It took me a long time to find out why the clutch wasn't releasing fully. The Coil spring clutch actuator gives lots of leverage but 40-50 thou less travel from memory, enough to make neutral finding more difficult. Does give you one finger operation though!
