I am putting my primary back together and was wondering if I should put something on the clutch hub bearing....a touch of gear lube?? ...a smear of grease??...any thing at all??
Grease no, it will spin right on to the clutch plates. How about a touch of ATF. Or if you like a bit of 20wt non-detergent oil as used in air planes and compressors. If you have a mark three than engine oil 20-50 is good for the self adjuster for the chain and than also for all other parts in there. Use the lube that you going to use in the primary.
