Hi, I have thought about getting a set of those Tommaselli adjustable clippons for a long time but want to at least see a picture of them on a Commando first. I have seen one Norton with them but it was a Atlas or something like that with a very differant top triple tree set up. Is anyone here running a set or have some pictures of a set on a Commando ?? I have also thought of trying a set from a Moto Guzzi Le Mans, one of the reasons is I like the slight lift of both these types, they both seem to bring the bars up close to what a straight normal handle bar would be like but I'm set on the clipp on style for personal other reasons. Any one with pictures please?

When install "upside-down", they are every bit as tall as low rise bars, but you have adjustability in the "in/out" angle, as well as the "tilt" angle, to suit your personal ergos.

Worth every penny.

Of course, you can also mount them in the downward orientation per cafe racer style, with equal adjustability, so, double the fun.

Here's a pic of my clip ons. They are standard fixed bars; no adjustment except slide up or down the tubes and rotate around the tubes. I have them about as far up as they will go. Puts lots of weight on the wrists right now. I haven't had time to play with the position. Looks good, and it feels good for short, spirited rides, but not so much for distance. I have rearsets also.

Front on shot.
Clippons,

And one from the side
Clippons,

Years ago I used to run Clubman's upside down, but I had to cut off the back 1/4 of the Dunstall fairing to keep the bars from hitting. I wasn't going to damage my new fairing to make bars fit, and got the Tommaselli's. Added two very functional CRG bar end mirrors to complete the look. Very, very happy with this setup!! Also, not sure if this is just my bike, but the vibrations are next to nothing with the Tommaselli setup.

Clippons,

Chip, it's not just you, I noticed on my Combat the Thomaselli adjustable bars are actually ALMOST comfortable. My 50+ year-old carcass can only handle so much abuse, but they are DEFINITELY better than the plain slip-on clip-ons, clubman bars, or "M" bars.

I just can't flip them over for the same reason as you...

Clippons,
