Click when shifting

Sometimes, not always when I go from 1st to 2nd, occasionally 2nd to 3rd I hear a click . It doesn't happen all the time but I didn't have it before I changed clutch cable. Did I do something wrong? Also what are your comments about installing a hydraulic clutch??

Is the clutch adjustment up close? Lost motion from too much free play can allow incomplete release, and therefore knicking. IMHO, a hydraulic clutch conversion is the answer to a non-issue. Cable works fine.

Hm, click in tranny or somewhere else?
Check cable route and lever gizmo's and maybe check cable business end is seated in its slot and eye ball the crooked lever ball it still in place. I get a bit pensive of the 1st cog paper thin bush wearing thin or even breaking up when 1-2-1 becomes "snickery-clickery'.
