Once I got them apart it became apparent that the center was indeed quite worn.
It is showing some wear but not as badly worn as the one I removed from my Mk3.

Do you find steel backing plates advantageous to aluminum? Though I haven't seen enough mention of it to appear to be a huge issue, the wear at the teeth of the old Barnett set I replaced has me wondering.Yes, replaced with Surflex (S2125/B) fibre although they still have steel backing plates, same as the bronze.
