I need to have a few things like a chaing guard, head light shell & some modifide Dunstall rearsets re-chromed but I've allways liked the look of nickle better and am thinking for some parts I would like to use it. I allways thought it wasn't as durable as chrome but I really have no experiance with it. Would it be a bad idea to use nickle on things like the rearsets that get a fair amount of abuse by my boots? Sorry if this should have been posted in another place as I guess it's not strickly Commando related. Thanks, Glenn

Typical "show" chrome is actually a base of copper, a layer of nickel for color and a thin layer of chrome for protection.
