I'm primarily concerned with galling on the stainless to stainless threads. Having spent 18 years as a journeyman pipefitter I detested stainless steel screw pipe because of its propensity to gall. Once that happened you were dead in the water. I don't want to run into the same situation using the stainless steel nuts and studs supplied by ARP.

I’ve had good luck with this..
Proper Lubricant for Stainless Steel Studs and Nuts

Easy don't use stainless studs or nuts, I am still using all my orginial studs and nuts on my motor except for the front barrel stud and nut that stripped out 40 years ago and have never seen reason to change them too SS, I am not a fan of SS nuts and bolts on a bike, yes they might look pretty.

You can use just about anything that leaves a healthy residual film, from engine oil to anti seize.

But you said ‘proper’… and you said ARP… so perhaps consider using ARP thread lubricant.

The farthest place in the UK away from the sea is less than 100 miles. If you face the sea it is serious business. My wife got metal lawn furniture it was toast in one year. SS is the way to go but you must use a thread lube of some sort.

less than 75 miles , I believe! and it’s somewhere near Meriden, but we won’t mention that.....

Dan, Go for the GOOD STUFF. Neolube. It's what we use to assemble stainless nuclear reactor threaded components. RCP's, BCP's, RVI's, CEDM's.

You'll also see it PRE-APPLIED on some HIGH quality fasteners.

Best stuff ever.

Well I wasn't sure thought it was 92 miles...but I did find this:
<Lichfield in Staffordshire has a plaque indicating England's furthest point from the sea – a distance of 84 miles.>
A PLAQUE...it must be true! :-O

We see alot of 316 grade s/s tea stain that is situated miles from the sea ...however we do have the our most active volcano in our region pumping out gases..

After the recommendation of nickel based never seize, I did a little research. Copper based never seize is not recommended because it will cause corrosion that can lead to failure of the fastener under stress.

Copper based lubricants are specifically cited as not being compatible with stainless steel fasteners. See my post above.
