Center stand interchangeablility

The center stand on my '71 broke in two when I rolled it off for a ride. What a pain. What years fit my '71?
Any suggestions regarding robustness of particular stands? II was pretty shocked to see it come apart. Thanks.
 
Thanks. The Andover part new was cheaper than used ones on eBay. Of course I was at a bike show last week where I could have had my pick of stands! Appreciate it again LAB

Not uncommon to see that regarding the price.
It's amazing what some these resellers think these parts are worth.
 
Typical for a '71. Surprising it lasted this long if it was the original. It gets used far more than the sidestand that rarely lasted at all because of the poor design to retain it with just a circlip.
Once you go to the 850 design, it will last until the bushes wear.
 
I went to the later centerstand on my early '72. The old one broke and was welded and then broke again. I used a bushing kit from AN which didn't require any drilling of the cradle. It fixed the classic bobbing centerstand problem too.
