I think the only difference is the suspension spring added to the MK3. That serves to take some loads of the iso rubbers so they last longer. That's not the same as the DT/cNw linkages that do a far better job of being a "steady".

The suspension spring reduces the 2500 to 3000rpm low frequency vibration. With a properly set up motor and careful adjustment of the spring LFV can be eliminated.
