The manual is a little vague: " In addition, the seal and seal groove are different in section so that when bedded, the seal feels proud to the touch at the edge furthest from the bore."
...?
"... furthest from the bore".
WTF
I'm thinking that the "proud" edge should be closest to the hydraulic pressure, thereby increasing the fluid seal when hydraulic pressure is applied. That is, the O-ring should stick out a bit toward the outside of the caliper. The opposite site orientation would allow pressure/fluid to seep past? So which way does the o ring go into the caliper? High edge in board or out?
(Jolly ole Brits and their what'en-tots and fah fah balder-crap, eh wot!?)
