But it can, the debt can continue. The public is kept ignorant of the debt as cause of declining purchasing power.

Middle class homeowners are pacified; they think they are getting rich from rising real estate prices while they pay more for food and transportation.

Renters blame higher rents on landlords instead of taxation of their purchasing power by way of the government debt That devalues their wages. They too, of course, pay more for food and transport.

Then the lefty pols, led by Ivy League/lefty academic elites, prescribe more vote buying programs - free college etc- with yet more debt.

This willfully, illogically, ignores the fact that inequality IS the state of nature and that the very best we can do is strive for equality of opportunity. Constant policing of that, equality of opportunity, is rational and, ethical, and moral.

The Left’s incessant and often violent demands for equality of outcome appeal to tthe basest motives of mankind, the evils of envy and theft.
 
Although I now in Aus (still British citizen) my family and friends are still in the UK as is my heart.

Its such a stand out great country and has been broken with mass EU endorsed uncontrolled immigration, economic meddling and political Horse shit.

I truly believe that the UK would fair better on its own as other northern European countries such as Norway have.

Except that Norway pays into the EU pension pot for its MEPs and other services, which is what the EU proposed under PM May, without ANY say whatsoever in the EU parliament, no wonder the British MPs voted it out 3 times when put to the UK parliament.
