I ask Brad to tell us more about his very nice "S" type Commando, here is his story ...

" My name is Brad Dawe. i'm a tattooer from eastern Canada. i've got several vintage bikes but this is, by far, my favorite to drive. handles like a dream. it's a 1970 Norton "s". got it in rough shape a couple years ago. spent a winter fixing her up. it's my daily driver. "

Nice 70. Are those black peashooters? Could you ask him how he keeps the exhaust mounting from coming apart every year?' I'd like to do the Euro bars too, they look so nice, but I don't think it would work on my aged back.

That is a sweet bike. I think those are called "Ace bars". Euro bars are typically much flatter/straight especially compared to the American style.

Old Britts sell a similar seat in single and dual. Mine came from Mick Hemmings.
 
Mick Hemmings suppliers those seats to Old Britts, I have both the roaster and interstate versions, saves a lot of effort on the arms when accelerating, lets the bum do the work.
 
Nice bike. Did you get the peashooters in black or did you paint or powder coat them ?
The gaiters on the forks are a nice look.
 
I don't want to take anything away from this bike for it is a GREAT rendition. But this photograph is fantistic. It truely captures the romance of the Norton. Pinup art! If I had P51 I might paint it on the nose. If nothing else a desktop background.

Excellent photos indeed ! It's clear that it's easier to take a good picture of a bike when the bike itself looks good but those are really awesome.
