I have two tax exempt vehicles, the Commando and the T160. Both had start /renewal dates for road tax on April 1st 2018.
I got a reminder from the authorities (DVLA) to re-tax the Norton for £0.00 and duly did so, and despite not receiving a reminder from the DVLA to re-tax the T160, I was sure I had re-taxed it using the V5C information at the same time as I taxed the Norton.
Whilst checking on the DVLA site the dates of MOT's and tax renewals for some other vehicles that I own, I clicked on the T160 and it said "Not taxed!" Uuugh........I was sure I had done it?
So I taxed it online for £0.00 six weeks late, and got a message from the DVLA saying that as there was a break between the expiry date and the renewal date, and that as the vehicle hadn't been "sorned" that I may be hearing from the DVLA about this...........which I assume means a fine?
A fine for not paying my tariff of £0.00 on time..........yes that sounds very logical.
I will wait and see what happens.
Sorry for the slight deviation from topic.
