There is no need or purpose for lube with extra hard spindle small slow oscillations in soft sintered bronze bushes. It only needs oil/grease film to keep moisture off spindle surface & bushes so no rust grinding paste slack develops. Norton and rest of Brit Iron knew this so did not worry about total sealing as drool of excess would not be noticed d/t the mess an effective chain drip oiler provides. Motion friction is not main purpose of chain lube either, flushing out metal flake grind paste is.
Do not recommend my 1st way, placing zerks underneath sa spindle ends as suspension bottoming and chain wear eventually snatch out DS zerk.
I now use JD tractor Cornhead grease, just smeared on. Its more a non drip slow flowing oil, not stiff grease, that liquidizes with any surface motion, so self seals elements getting in. If wanting to feel like respected effort Nortoneer, can open spindle oil feed holes some, keep center solid lock bolt to seal escape then use zerk in 'sealing' end cap to pump Cornhead grease in every few years. Not bad idea to spiral groove bushes but not necessary as only need a film to prevent rust.
Spindle collars are prone to rust too, especially their little bolts/tread bores so suggest SS fasteners if not collars too for the long term relief of owner after you.
Love the clever mono shocks but don't see functional advantage unless made very robust/Hog heavy to help control side loads on swingarm above what whimpy rubber mounted cradle & thin tube arms & frame does.
A Mz Peel upgrade - beyond boxed RMG Alu sa is, re-enforcement of the flexy Z plate/frame area so Z plates used to mount swash plates with ~1/16" gap to engage/back up swing arm deflection/spring backs - yet still compliant enough w/o rebounding - not to be crippled like over rigid constructions concepts.
