thank you sir!
One large bird.Wonder what that end cap cost?
I did the same thing to both my commandos. 30 ml bottle filled with 90 oil. It does leak out over about a year, but you cant expect those o rings to hold oil they way the bikes designed. Nothing simpler.Like many others I converted the cradle tube swinging arm locating bolt to a quill
With a rubber tube connected and a small resivoir for the oil under the seat
My lack of maintenance and riding on salted roads had rusted the pin previously
Now all I have to do is open the seat and top up when I think of it
I like that, did they do it in a 1970 for my early Commando?'tis a silver dollar...1968, well before we moved to the Lonnie and Dub-loonie.
It is the non-mk3 type SA here... same as my '74 mk2 has...was there another type on the 1970 bikes?I like that, did they do it in a 1970 for my early Commando?
Yes, the design never seemed like it was meant to prevent oil loss, just slow down some. Seems all that is needed is some oil penetration into the oillite bushings once a season to be good to go.I did the same thing to both my commandos. 30 ml bottle filled with 90 oil. Its the same on the 1970 bike, just thinking that the coin shown above was a 1968, if I was to do the same I'd want a 1970It is the non-mk3 type SA here... same as my '74 mk2 has...was there another type on the 1970 bikes?
On a British bike? I think NICHT!Very special 140W natural gear lube, only extracted from blonde haired, blue eyed frauleins located only in the Black Forest region of the Fatherland
Well, then, where? On a British bike? I think NICHT!
