Hi there, while finishing my cafe racer based on a Atlas with a 750 cdo engine and with twin Mikuni 34mm, I am looking for the "best" free flow petcock , as on the Atlas tank there is only one, I had noticed that the BAP I had on the shelf had a smaller aperture than the OEM ,so what are you suggestions ??

I do not know what the best is but I have had better flow with these over the BAP units. WOT to a ton with twin 32 flatslides, no hickup. I think 5/16 line and a smart routing will also keep the fuel moving.

I don't have any idea what it would take to adapt them, but I have always had good luck with Pingel's on my race bikes.

Make you own from a pair of ball valves, dirt cheap last for ever and are full flow.

Cash

Ball valves from Ebay cost around £3.50 each, but can also be had from places that deal in air compressors as they are often used as drain taps. They have the correct BSP thread, but you will need to add inline fuel filters, and need to do some modifications if you want reserve fuel.

I use male/female ball valves, two male brass adapters, soft solder, the filters and main supply tube taken from the old taps and you're in business. They last for ever, my current pair were fitted 20years ago. I think the lot cost £3 back then.

Old Britts said the 60-7267 - Reserve petcock, BAP Made in Italy, $17.16. 60-7266 - Main petcock, BAP Made in Italy, $17.16. have the least problems and I agree!
