About to order new cables rear, front , clutch . whats the best brand to go with ?
I have had great success with Venhill. There is a lot of different numbers so make sure you get the right thing.

The web site is improving by narrowing down the models in catagories. The picture are not usefull being stock photos.
The universal kits are great also.

The us site s somewhat limited. The UK site is full of what you need. Prices come out good and the shipping is reasonable and quite quick for being over there.

another satisfied customer here. E-mailed them to ensure that the cable I needed (clutch) had the appropriate end at the gearbox - the photo on the web site was 'not actual product', received an e-mail back promptly, ordered from the UK on a Sunday and the cable arrived 5 days later in sunny VA, from the UK. Cable was a perfect fit, and at the time - 3 years ago ish - cheaper than any I could find in the US, including shipping!
Wish all, or even most, suppliers cared as much about their customers - will not hesitate to use them again when I need to.

I like Venhill cables HOWEVER, the venhill tach cable I received did not come with the spade-end that attaches to the tach drive at the engine. So it wasn't usuable. From what others say, it should have come with it so perhaps it was packing/shipping error. I picked up a new AN tach cable from a friend. It came with the fitting but the square end wouldn't fit in the Smith's tach. So I used the Venhill cable and the AN spade and all was well...though at twice the price!

The spade end on an original Norton cable (not the current AN or Venhill) is crimped onto the cable and cannot be removed/used on a new cable.

Isn't the spade a separate item? It is on mine. Maybe it changed later? My tach cable has 2 square ends.

Put the venhill clutch cable i got last night and WOW the smooth feel of that cable is awesome .I wish i had these on my other bikes over the years
Thanks alot everyone

I think there are two ways to reduce clutch pull. Adjust stack height or simply replace the the cable with a Venhill. Never tried both. Only Venhill.
