Bench testing a RITA

After reviewing the helpful anwers on my previous RITA thread I've decided to keep my RITA and try to install it. I bought it 10 years ago off eBay and still don't know for sure if it works. Is there a way to bench test the amp before I pull out the Boyer analog and fit the RITA?

P.S. You will need two 6 volt coils wired in series for the system to work as it should.

Mistral Engineering, the manufacturer of the RITA, was supposed to produce new amplifiers ( http://www.hoppybikes.co.uk/moira.htm ) but I don't know that it ever came to be.
