Bench test Gearbox

I have just rebuilt my first Commando gearbox and would like to know if there is a method to check I have everything in the right order before I install it in the bike. Any advice? Thanks

Just set the box in a vice and slowly turn the drive sprocket while turning it shift the gears selector through the gears and it will tell you if things are right, up shift down shift and neutral etc if it don't shift sometimes the spring inside the outer case might need adjusting or it could be put in upside down.
