I remember seeing a battery acid catch bottle on (I think) the Old Britts web site. Of course now that I'm interested I can't find it. Has anyone used such a beast on their lead acid batteries? If so, what are your thoughts.

Id say the open lead acid battery has reached its use by date. AGM is absolutely worth the cost.
They seem to last a good deal longer as well.

I have gel batteries in both Nortons and an AGM in the ZX-14 because I wanted to try one. I'll never go back to lead/acid.

Battery acid catch bottle

"NOS" suggests they may have discontinued them....

Ok, please excuse the edumb questions here, but what the purpose of the catch bottle? What wrong with an open pipe?

I thought that why bikes had ale cans attached .... maybe that out of style now .... my ride buddy Dr. Dave still uses one on his Commando, he say Scotland tradition .....

no ale cans are strictly for engine breathers

I will check with the good Dr. @ Saturday coffee meet and ask exactly what drips into his Ale can , and report back... hope I don’t have to tune him on proper drip catchers ....
