I recently went for a set of these.
They are not the same as the far East.

Those are just OK but if you get gas which gums up, the lever will bend as you try to turn.
Has happened to me before. Fortunately my local distributor took care of it by sending me a warranty replacement.

that was my experience - frozen, bent levers. bought them from old britts, which i assume were AN replacements. never tried to rebuild them, just replaced them with BAP's . i'm assuming all you need is a little fuel resistant grease to free up the valve mechanism. two-plus years now and no issues with the BAP's.

Are all BAPs the same? What does BAP stand for anyway or is that the brand name?
