Atlas Oil Lines

Thought I would try and put the question of what size the inside diameter the oil supply and return lines should be on an Atlas? It seems that through the Atlas and Commando years that it changed. Any reason why on an Atlas I wouldn’t simply use the 3/8 ID where I think the final Commando left off?

3/8" will work, but you may have to come up with an adapter from 3/8" to 1/2" to go into the return on a stock oil tank if the tank return is 1/2". If you have an oil tank with 3/8" fittings for feed and return obviously an adapter would not be needed. 3/8" works, but I have a feeling somebody will disagree.

For the Atlas, 00.0950, 1/2" ID is in the 66-68 master parts list I reference often. I may have some earlier year parts diagrams to reference if you are still wary. I have been happy with "Gates 27065 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose-3' Length, Inner Diameter 1/2" for $20 (Amazon). Do you have the tank and inlet/outlet barbed tube to measure?
