Assimulator Wiring

Electrical dumb-ass here. Just got a new warning light unit. Old had 5 wires ..e, gin, al, al, and wl. New one is a circular type, electronic and has three prongs wl, al, and e. Little help here for old dumb-ass

If you connect the white/brown wire to WL (Warning Light), green/yellow to AL (ALternator), and red to E (Earth) then it should work, however, the correct replacement for your MkIII is 06-6393 (or 06-6392 for Canadian models).
