Actually it was leaving the garden of Eden when hunter gathers got into settlements for crops and kept herds then a priesthood developed with keys to the storehouse.
 
Yep, ever since Adam & Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden, it's been downhill ever since.

There is much evidence the most efficient 2 stroke engines in the world, big marine diesels are indeed messing with weather and maybe climate too.
 
until recently I maintained one on the job that made a definite contribution, a Detroit Diesel 24V71 (1700 ci, 28,000 cc) that powered a 1 megawatt generator....4 blowers, 4 turbos, and being a two stroke it screamed at 1800 rpm....a very impressive engine but it was a little scary to be in the room while it was running :shock:
 
As a late teen I was part of crew that serviced Miami water works so was in hanger size building with 5 engines that had doors to walk in between the cylinders which had about 2 stories tall bores/strokes. The exhaust was used to bubble into water to balance its pH level. I came conclusion we are in an extinction event last year then found references by real scientists saying we hit point of no return in the mid '80's. I likely added more than my share of pollution and still do with nasty mc habit over 250 cc.

As far as I make out...There are currently 7 billion causes of global warming.
 
I believe the biggest culprit is the Cow, as it releases (apparently) between 70-120kg of methane per year. One cow is the equivalent of a car driving on average 7,800 miles per year, and generating CO2.
We need to eat a lot more beef!

Not quite sure if this argument stacks up, but as i dislike Cows (childhood thing!), i think it's vaguely plausible! :?
 
Well I am doing my part to get a bit of warmth by riding my RD400, if everyone was like me, then I wouldn't have to burn wood to get warm or leave my engine idling for long periods of time to get warm enough to be comfortable. :mrgreen:

If only the farmers could bottle the gas coming out of the rear end of the cows then, they could run their tractors and chainsaws on the gas And maybe run their milking machines on it too :!: :D

Talk about a "no brainer"! Connect one pipe to the cow's "exhaust", and the milking rig to the udder, then as soon as the cow farts, the machine starts milking.

I believe you have just revolutionised the industry!

Doubt there's a point source capture system but there are larger dairies that feed the manure into digesters that generate Methane which is then used to fire a generator for milk house power.
 
Number one atmosphere gas emitter by far is modern inorganic fertilizers developed by I.G. Farben in the 3rd Reich days then licensed out after wards.
BBQ grills of resturants and homes is the second most polluting source of everything especially smog, yep more that the trucks and cars.

One riders poop is not enough to run down the road on so actually needs a public scale collectors methane so the composting toilet is merely a spoof.

Ok, just before we patent our new idea to save the world, it should be noted that the vast majority of Methane emitted by Cows, actually comes out of their mouths. I think it would be a good idea to get this right on our 'patent pending' drawings, as we may find ourselves in the .... er..... well...... just getting the wrong end of the..... :oops:
