It seems Ducati are also bringing out a Moto Cross bike...
They must both see a big potential market to make such a large investment.

I bought a Yamaha RT360 for $75 in Lake Tahoe and rode it for 2 years in the Pine Nut mountainsMy first motocross bike ‘78 kx125 was $800 cash , only used once before , seller just wanted it gone … that was good value even at the time , barrel of fun too
I've related part of this before but here goes. My grandson talked me out a BSA B50MX I had sitting around since the 70s. Although probably originally sold mostly to dirt bike riders, it was an MX bike meant for race. On his second official heat ever, he was the youngest rider on the oldest bike and he won his heat (6 riders). The stock front forks worked properly (I rebuild them), the original rear shocks were on the bike, and it was running the original engine and tires that sat from around 1974 (yes, I know the tires part is crazy but to teach him he had to pay for everything but the bike itself). So…
The top riders won’t be buying new Triumphs cos they’re not good enough...
Everyone else won’t be buying them cos they’re too expensive…
Wonder if Triumph realise how monumentally they’ve cocked up here ??
Same with any kind of motorcycle competition Greg: the rider makes the biggest difference.I've related part of this before but here goes. So, like many things in racing, it's more about ball size than the equipment! Look at the senior TT. Most of the bikes can due 200mph, but most do not win!
I don’t get the excitement around the Thruxton FE personally. It is a stock Thruxton, with a slightly different paint job, and an unexciting one at that. They unveiled it last night in Manhattan at Triumphs British Invasion event. Easily caused the most excitement of the model line. Second most exciting was the Thruxton FE (final edition) which they said would no longer be in the lineup after 2024.
They said it would be $17K in the USA and only one per dealershipWell, on the other hand I guess I’m pleased they didn’t make it more special… it has probably saved me £15k+ !!
You mean the boring FE version? They said it would be $17K in the USA and only one per dealership
