Tread carefully sir… I have been severely chastised for saying such!Quite nice - thanks!
I just can't warm to those fake monobloc injection covers. They may as well put a fake manual ignition advance/retard lever on the handlebars too.
Can only think of a sunbeam S7Looks more like a Harley to me. When did a 'Authentic' British bike have such a large front tyre
Along with Ducati, they enjoyed double-digit growth for several years while a lot of other companies suffered in the doldrumsJoking aside
One thing that Hinckley triumph really are good at is reading the market
They always seem to have the right bike at the right time
People get pretty worked up over those covers. I had a fellow shouting his disapproval at me from his hotel balcony!Tread carefully sir… I have been severely chastised for saying such!
But ultimately, my conclusion is that one man’s ‘tacky’ is another man’s ‘detail’…
Two entirely separate topics of course.People get pretty worked up over those covers. I had a fellow shouting his disapproval at me from his hotel balcony!
I'm not in love with the covers but don't mind them.
Of course the main thing about these new Triumphs, aside from the high power output, is that you can get on one and comfortably ride it half way or all the way across the continent if you want to.
I've not met anyone that has tackled that sort of big tour with an original Triumph or any other old Brit parallel twin bike.
I suppose it could be done, but I don't think it would be a very enjoyable trip.
I would plan on a breakdown or three and much vibration, if on an original Triumph.

I hadn't realised original triumph twins were that bad!People get pretty worked up over those covers. I had a fellow shouting his disapproval at me from his hotel balcony!

I've talked with a few owners of restored Bonnies here. No one seems to want to use them for the kind of longer distance riding I do with the Commando or the Vincent.I hadn't realised original triumph twins were that bad!
We can easily do two topics at once. Or even three! That might be my maxTwo entirely separate topics of course.
Yes but one isn’t an answer to the other is it?We can easily do two topics at once. Or even three! That might be my max.
