Interesting. Royal Mail and NZ post link seamlessly.

Must have been that Revolution. The Royalty are still grumpy. :)

Maybe it sailed the Atlantic.

Good luck.

Good luck.
Yes a ship could cross the Atlantic in 14 days. Now the scheduled delivery date is 6 days to cover approximately 350 miles. Perhaps it is being transported on horseback now?

Customs backlog. Feel lucky.
I shipped a VW transaxle from a breaker in the UK (professionally packaged) and when it got to MHT, UPScouldn't find it. I went there, and looking around the terminal, found a broken, unpackaged item with no label. My mistake was saying: "that looks like it". I got stiffed for the insurance.

There never seems to be a backlog when DHL is the courier.

DHL shipped package for my second order arrived in 4 days. First order, shipped by Royal Mail, is tangled up in London . DHL postage and VAT costs as much as the goods. Pick your poison, do you want it now or do you want to save some $$$?

Although I would not accept, Andover Norton was very helpful and even offered replacements if I don't receive them by the end of the month. It's not their fault that the world is almost in chaos now.

Here in SE Florida, the video linked below personifies your average UPS driver.

Typical UPS Delivery

I placed an order yesterday 2.17.2022 with AN and received DHL tracking number this morning. Parts should arrive on 2.23.2022. that's good service.

This 2.17.2022 business is so confusing.

Only the USA goes month day.

My FedEx parcel was dated the normal way when it left the UK. The reversed US way in Memphis and back to normal when it got to NZ.

Fortunately they also said the day of the week so I could sort it out. Only after 13 is the date clear. Jan Feb etc are a right screwup. Years ago when we did cheques I had real difficulty getting a US cheque cashed in NZ.

No such date mate. Get them to reissue it.

Back when I was working I did a lot of international communication and always spelt the month out. Jan Feb etc. Otherwise total screwup.

Locked format spreadsheets. Hours wasted with confused office juniors who were unaware of any other convention.

INMHO both are a problem in that they cannot be sorted easily. Databases generally use yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss which will sort as a number, string of characters or whatever underlying integer actually defines the datatime. For the majority of humans, Feb, 1, 2022 is clear as well but utterly hated by programmers.

I received the Royal Mail/USPS order yesterday. 19 days to ship. (14 days just to arrive in the USA)

I placed a larger order (> $300 US) on Feb 16. The $ amount automatically triggered DHL shipping, no option for Royal Mail/USPS. It arrived at the DHL Miami gateway on the 19th. Why it was sent to the Miami gateway is beyond me. All previous DHL shipments have been received at the NY gateway.

In the future I will opt for DHL when time is a factor.

They go through NY most of the time but through Cleveland and Miami when NY is too busy, or weather makes NY tough - at least what's what a DHL customer service rep told me. 100% of the time when they've gone through Cleveland with my orders, there has been a problem. Haven't had any trouble with Miami except that they are slower than NY. Have had some troubles with NY customs but most suppliers now put the customs code on the outside of the package and there's no trouble when they do. 8714 10 0050 which is: Parts and accessories of motorcycles (including mopeds), Other

Tracking shows that the shipment has already left Miami.

WE were getting severe winter weather yesterday so it's no wonder they diverted to Miami.

Two weeks in a row - lying DHL driver. Couldn't deliver because no one was "home" at my office during business hours today. They wait until 5 minutes before closing time and don't get anywhere in the vicinity.

True the door gets locked at closing time, but it takes at least 30 minutes to close up. An easy way out of not delivering they think. It's my understanding that the last one is no longer with DHL. Already placed the complaint call so the supervisor will be hearing about it again.

I wouldn't mind if they said they got behind and didn't make it before closing - I just hate the lies! Wasn't supposed to arrive until Monday per tracking so it's not even worth lying about!

Placed order on Sunday, March 20, and DHL delivered to my door today Mar 23rd. Andover to TX in 3 days. I'm impressed :) They came thru the Cincinnati hub.

That is lightning fast.

It has been more than 1 week since RGM shipped my small 2-3KG order (Royal Mail, 17GBP).
They shipped the same day I placed my order.

Royal Mail's tacking says it still has not left the UK.

I had a similar experience when Andover Norton sent my order via "Royal Mail". (Royal PITA?)

I paid an extra $20 for my last shipment to be delivered by DHL. I ordered 3 days ago on Monday and the shipment has already left the DHL Cincinnati hub.
